In 1998 Gotland launched the "La Sierra" canned beans line in the United States. Today "La Sierra" has significant brand equity with both, the Hispanic and mainstream shopper. Through our "meal solutions" campaign and our own grass root marketing programs "La Sierra" is one of the leading brands at national supermarkets like H.E.B., Randalls, Safeway. Albertsons and Ralph's. La Sierra's ACV in target cities across the United States grew from zero in 1995 to 60% (avg) in March of 2000.
The Gotland Group took over all sales and marketing operation of "Del Valle" in the State of Texas in January of 1998. Prior to that year, "Del Valle" ranked 25th. in AC Nielsen's list of Nectars. Today "Del Valle" is top ranked in the Houston and Dallas markets .
The Gotland Group started representing "Barrilitos" (Mexican Sodas) in January of 1998, at that time the brand was not present in the Texas Market. Today "Barrilitos" is the second largest mexican soda in Texas only after Jarritos and older players like Penafiel and Topo Chico were left behind. |

Malher from Gautemala is the leading brand of Chicken and Beef Bouillion, Refried Beans and other Central American Specialties. The Gotland Group since 2003 has established Malher not only in the Central American Market within Texas but also has enabled the "Cross-Over" of Malher Chicken Bouillions to the Mexican Market and now competes at all major markets with Knorr. Hormel Specialty Brands: Herdez, Dona Maria and Bufalo
The Gotland Group took over this lines in January of 2001. In August, The Gotland Group became the highest grouth performer in the United States.
The Gotland Group launched this one SKU Chilled Orange Aid to the Texas Market in 2003. This venture helped us learn and acquire a great experteese in the Hispanic / Mexican Deli / Dairy Sections at all main players. We displaced Coca Cola's "bright and early" to second place in the hispanic chilled sections of all major players. |
